A Happy Summary of My Year 2016

5 High points of 2016

As the year comes to an end...and we are going to welcome 2017, I wanted to share with you all some of the amazing moments in my life...some are pretty big some are small tiny things that happened but they hold a huge place in my heart.

With that I want to tell you all to be happy and positive...2016 was not a best year for many people...it was a decent year for me as well, but I tried and maintained a positive vibe and to look something better in everything.
Be hopeful!! If this was not a great year for you all..trust god, the coming year will be.

1. I completed my sister's wish

If you are following our blog from beginning, you guys must be familiar with the void in my life that was created when my soul sister passed away in 2015. (Talk about the worst year now). She had her set of bucket list that had so many things that she did when she was here and things she wanted to do. One of such things was to get a tattoo with her elder sister ( Kapila ) and we both decided to complete her wish and we both got inked. We made a "sister's" tattoo that Sonu had selected, the symbol of love we three share with each other.

Again a tiny gesture but that holds a huge place in my heart.

We also shot small clips when we were getting it done. Watch it here

2. My best friend's wedding

My best friend got married on 23rd April,2016 to my elder brother. I could have written my brother's wedding..but it will always be my best friend's wedding for me as I had dreamt of this day since forever. It was a perfect celebration with all my loved ones with us. The feeling was of immense love and nostalgia as we both had dreamt and planned for this day since ages. I was in the worst front in terms of my health but still postivity kept me going (so don't loose hope).

3. I overcame the pain... Fell in love again

I had to undergo a spine surgery for disc degeneration. I cannot tell you guys how painfully I have lived the last 4-5 years with this spine condition that escalated to almost loosing 50-60% of sensation in my left leg. (Worst years of my life) but I kept going.

During the period of my surgery my fiance was with me throughout like a solid pillar of support, from helping in turning on the sides to taking me to washroom and helping me walk to taking me to movies when I felt homesick he did everything to make me feel better about the situation...I fell in love with him again. I feel so blessed to have him in my life. (Babe, if you read this, I Love You!!)

4. We finally moved into our own house

Most of my life we lived in a rented place. But I was still glad we had a roof to sleep in. But the joy and security one feels when you move into your own house is immeasurable. I am glad my parents worked so hard to provide us with all the things we could ask for.

It is a dream house. I have my own room. Everything little thing in this house was handpicked with lots of love. And I am thankful to god for giving us all that we prayed for.

5. Dream came true

I always wanted to start my blog (I know, everyone says that) but who said that we cannot have same dream as others? Do we have patent rights on dreams? No!!!! We don't, so if you have a dream follow it..don't think what people will think, I will be judged, people will laugh at me etc etc. Honey!!! People will keep judging you till the day you die, some will laugh at you or behind you. But let your work and success speak for you.

I am glad Kapila di gave me this push by creating this blog for me, with me. And we are here with you all as Every Little Thing: Happiness.

I promise to keep working hard everyday, and let my work speak for me.

That's it you guys!!

The year has been tough for many, but we all can atleast find small tiny things, gestures or events to be positive and hopeful for future, because one year will not make you big..but it will certainly not break you bad.

Keep loving yourself,

Be hopeful and party hard because the future awaits you.

Happy new year my lovelies.

Cheers to new plans, resolutions and all beautiful things we dream of.

Lotsss of love,
Priyanka

Plum Goodness - New Vanilla & Fig Irresistible Bundle – Review

Picture taken from Plum Goodness site
Dry skin!! Winters make it the worse with flaked or super dried cheeks 🙅 That is so me in winters. On one side I am a winter person on the other side I get so annoyed with it due to the harshness in the winds. Topping all this, my sensitive skin makes it really difficult for me to keep my skin healthy and glowing.

I am a fan of plum’s products as most of them are meant for my skin type. All their products are free of all known irritants like SLS, propylene glycol, DEA and PABA.  My association with plum's products started with their Kajal. I was also using their Chamomile & White Tea SunCare 3-in-1 Bundle in summers for my skin care. I must say here, I absolutely loved it.

Plum recently launched their Vanilla & Fig Range and trust me when I say this, I am totally bowled over with the products.

I brought their bundle from the website Plum Goodness and It was shipped to me in 2 days.

The bundle contains 3 products from their Vanilla and Fig Range
  • Vanilla & Fig The Rich Shake Body Wash
  • Vanilla & Fig Sweet Fondue Body Lotion
  • Vanilla & Fig Feel The Fudge Body Butter

Let me take you through each of the products in the bundle one by one.

Vanilla & Fig The Rich Shake Body Wash

The Body wash comes in a sturdy bottle with a pump on the top like most of the body wash bottles. It has the twist and lock feature which means no accidental spilling.
I loved the vanilla flower print and the PLUM’s Logo customized for the range.

It has a very creamy texture which is great for my super dry body in winters. The smell is so yummy that I instantly wanted to have Vanilla shake :P
The Pleasant, soft vanilla fragrance actually lingers after the shower.
I fell in love with it immediately.
Individually it is priced for INR 400/-
Definitely a good buy if you are looking for a rich, creamy showering experience.

Vanilla & Fig Sweet Fondue Body Lotion

The Body lotion also comes in pump dispenser packaging like the body wash. It also has the twist and lock feature which means no accidental spilling.

This is one truly rich and nourishing body lotion which provided me the much need moisture. It absorbs quickly and does not feel sticky at all.
The body lotion has shea butter and sunflower seed oil which is great for nourishment and hydration of our skin in the harsh winters.  Also since it has Vanilla fruit water and Fig extract it is a great nourishing body lotion with lots of vitamins and antioxidants.
I used it after shower and it got absorbed so well in my skin. The soothing fragrance stays with me for a very long time making me feel so yummy about myself :P
Individually it is priced for INR 425/-

Vanilla & Fig Feel The Fudge Body Butter

Body Butter was the first product I tried out of the three. I just couldn’t wait after looking at it. It is light brown in color giving it a chocolate kind of appearance.
Coming to the packaging, the Fudge Body Butter comes in a Convenient tub kind of box. I wish the tub was of my size and I could just take a dive in it.

It totally goes by the claims from the brand “A deep hydrating, emollient body butter that's not just effective, but a sheer delight to smell and feel.

This has shea butter, soothing vanilla and antioxidant fig to give all the care you skin needs.
It is slightly thicker in consistency than the body lotion. This one absorbs in the skin like magic and your skin instantly starts feeling “plum” and nourished.
Individually it is priced for INR 450/-

Overall Rating

I loved the Plum Goodness Vanilla & Fig Irresistible Bundle. I would definitely recommend it.

I would give it 4.5 on 5(actually 5.. ;) for the Yummiest fragrance ever!! )

You can buy the three products together for INR 1099/- from here

Hope you like it too. Do leave your comment below on how you liked using it? And which one is your favorite.

See you around soon guys!!

Love
Kapila

Maybelline V-Face Range review and swatches on medium and dark skin.

Hey everyone

I had been MIA from the blog since a week as I was on a vacation to attend my college bestie's wedding. It was an amazing experience.

In my last post I shared with you all my nykaa winter sale haul, where I purchased Maybelline's V-Face range for trying the products as I was quite impressed to see the whole idea of Maybelline speeding up their game and launching contouring products at an affordable range before Amazon India Fashion Week in Delhi.

As I was going to leave for the wedding shortly, I decided to skip on carrying my other contouring and highlighting products and take these three products for testing them out instead. So to know how these product worked for me in detail keep on reading.☺

RING CEREMONY AND COCKTAIL NIGHT - The very first ceremony we had to attend after reaching the venue was Ring ceremony and Cocktail party. Since we were travelling from morning I decided to go for a simple eye look and highlighted face.

And here I decided to use this range so that I will be done with the look within no time.

V-FACE duo stick -
I am a huge fan of cream contour products. I was very excited to try this product as this would be one of the most pocket friendly cream contour available in India. But sadly i was not much impressed with the product. I got the duo stick in shade medium- dark, the stick has two ends and is in a retractable form with highlighter stick and contour stick on each end. I was really happy with the highlighter stick as it was pigmented and was very creamy in texture. But, since inlike my highlight to be blindning 😂 this one was too toned down for my look that day, and thankfully i was carrying the other highlighter with i used on top o this one. If you use highlighters on daily basis then this is a great one for that daily subtle glow as it makes your skin glow making it look natural and flawless.
Coming to the contour part, the contour stick was creamy and very pigmented and I was impressed by it. But the colour somehow was too orange on me, even after blending the product for quiet a long time I couldn't make the orange colour to tone down according to my skin. Hence I would not repurchase this shade, and since this range has only two shades i.e light-medium and medium-dark it will be waste of money for me.
This has a creamy-waxy texture, is highly pigmented and a very different chemical kind of smell, although the smell is not over powering it did bug me out a little.
It is priced at Rs.650 which is a good part.
So I will rate this one a 3 out of 5.

Buy it here - Nyka

V-FACE blush contour - It was a total love at first application for me. The blush has three shades and the one I bought was in shade pink, since I was going for a very pink glowing highlight I wanted to put on a mauve blush and this was just perfect. I mixed all the three colour together and voila!!! I had the perfect shade that I needed.
The blush is highly pigmented and hence I would suggest you start with picking less product and then build the colour as per your liking. Another tip can be to use a duo-fiber brush to apply this blush as that brush picks less product and gives and even application.
It is priced for Rs.550 for 4g of product. This blush comes in three shades
1. Peach,
2. Brown and
3. Pink.
Overall, I really liked the pigmentation, colour pay-off and the texture of the blush. It is easily blendable as well.
So i would give this a 4.5 out of 5.

V-FACE duo powder - Well, I did not carry any extra contour products with me and since I was not quiet happy with the contour I did using the duo-stick, I decided to use the dark shade in this Duo-face powder and I was really impressed with the shade. It matched my skin tone and as I started building the product it gave this natural looking contour to my face. Hence, this one became my saviour for the night. Although its not highly pigmented, it does a good job nonetheless. I used the light side to set my t-zone and that too did a good job in keeping my concealer intact.
The texture is soft and is decently pigmented.
The V-FACE duo powder is priced at Rs.550 for 8.5g of product.
I would give this 4.5 out of 5.

Buy it here - Nyka

Now coming to the swatches, as i had bought the contour stick and the face powder in shade medium-dark, I decided to show you guys the swatches on both medium and dark skin-tones. I am fair to medium and my sister-in law is a dusky beauty. So any of you who are of the darker skin tone you may get a clear idea of these shades will suit you or not.

Overall thoughts -
For the price range of the products these are fairly good. Altough I did not like the duo contour stick, I really wished they had more shades in this variant, as i really liked the texture and pigmentation of this contour stick.
The blush and the face powder are good products if you are looking for something that is not too pricy but does work good as a blush and contour powders. You can definately give them a go.

Thats all for this review. Please like the post if it is helpful for you and also follow us on instagram and snapchat for more fun updates.
